WHY US?
We manufacture homes for customers that settle for nothing but extraordinary in terms of quality. We use only the best quality grades of wood, and the raw material of choice is spruce that has both a beautiful light coloring and superior humidity resistance. The cell structure of spruce is similar to the heartwood of pine, making spruce a safe option for the external cladding that protects your home against rain and humidity.

Wood is ecological - log home is a product of nature.
Choosing wood as the building material for your home is an act that respects nature. Wood is undoubtedly the most ecological building material: it is 100% a product of nature, and using it distinctly reduces carbon dioxide emissions. The manufacturing process of a log home consumes considerably less fossil fuels compared to other materials, and the wood waste that emerges as a side product can be further recycled for energy production. The amount of energy that can be produced from the wood waste is almost twice the amount of energy used in the manufacturing process. Furthermore, during its long life span, a log home also stores carbon dioxide.

Wood is comfortable - safe living in a log home!

In wooden homes, indoor air is always fresh and good to breathe because wooden walls balance alterations in indoor humidity levels. In addition, they also filter and cleanse the air. Thanks to the breathing wall structure, humidity does not condense on the surfaces or other structures, and no indoor problems arise. What is more, studies show that the wooden surfaces of the house are pleasant to touch and comforting.

The oldest method of building. A log home is amongst the most traditional methods of building. Throughout the ages, people have chosen wood as a building material because it is natural, healthy and feels warm to touch. The oldest log homes that are still in use today are hundreds of years old. Log homes have characteristics that make them especially suitable for the harsh northern climate, but it has been proven that a log home is also a safe option in areas prone to earthquakes. Real life examples show that after an earthquake, the only buildings left standing have been log homes.

Sustainable and ecologically friendly.
A log home is the most ecologically friendly way of living. Compared to the production process of other building materials, making a log home requires considerably less energy and the waste wood can be further used to generate electrical energy or heat. What is more, wood is a renewable resource; in Nordic countries the annual growth of the coniferous forests clearly exceeds the needs of the log home industry. Thanks to modern production technology and careful design, log homes can easily fulfill current strict requirements concerning energy efficiency. Once built, a log home lasts from generation to generation.

Optimal indoor humidity level and fresh indoor air
The warm and cozy atmosphere of a log home is a relaxing refuge from busy, everyday life. Wood is natural and warm to the touch. Even in the winter, it accumulates heat. The indoor air of a log home is fresh and good to breathe, as the humidity level is always optimal. In comparison, living in modern houses natural produces indoor humidity in summer, while in cooler seasons, when heating is needed, indoor air tends to become too dry. However, a massive log wall balances this alternation in humidity to an optimal level by absorbing excessive moisture from the indoor air and releasing it when it becomes too dry.

Excessive indoor humidity invites mold, fungi and dust mites. Furthermore, indoor air that is too dry can cause respiratory infections. Bacteria and viruses flourish both in humid and dry air, which is why it is extremely important to maintain an optimal humidity level. According to the Finnish Allergy and Asthma Federation, the humidity level should be 25-45%.

Besides balancing out alterations in indoor air humidity levels, massive log walls help to maintain a stable indoor temperature. A massive log home has a pleasant indoor temperature throughout the year. It is cool in summer and comfortably warm in winter. The log walls also filter and cleanse the air, as carbon dioxide and other gaseous impurities pass through them. Thanks to a massive, breathing wall construction, there are no thermal bridges or surfaces where moisture may condense. In the event of water damage, it is detected easily.

A log home is undoubtedly the best option for everyone suffering from allergies and asthma, but we recommend it for all who wish to take care of their health and well-being.
